21 Healthy, No-Prep Foods To Pack For Gymnastics Meets and Dance Competitions- Clean Eating On The Go

Clean Eating For Gymnasts or Athletes On The Go

As my son enters his 10th year of competition as a gymnast, I’ve got packing the snack bag down to a science- serious clean eating for gymnasts on the go! In addition to the grocery list below, I recommend packing a small container with a few bags for storing garbage, sets of plastic silverware, and a handful of sandwich size baggies.

For this post, I’m simply providing a list of 21 NO PREP, healthy foods to stash for your weekend meet or tournament….clean eating for gymnasts on the go.

Full Shopping List– Mix and Match and Enjoy!

  1. Bag of Mini Cucumbers
  2. Individual bags of baby carrots (you can get a large bag too, but the little bags are handy)
  3. Pint of blueberries
  4. Bag of Sugar Snap Peas
  5. Small container of pomegranate seeds (Trader Joe’s has these all prepared in little cups)
  6. Chobani tubes of yogurt (Gimmies)
  7. Container of cherry tomatoes
  8. Bag of mini-BabyBel cheese
  9. Bag of string cheese or individually wrapped small cheeses of your choice
  10. Pre-sliced apple slices- you can take some small whole apples instead if you prefer
  11. Clementines or Cuties (easy to peel!)
  12. Sargento Balanced Break (huge variety to choose from; contains cheese, nuts)- Target and Aldi are starting to have their own brand of these as well
  13. Edamame – we get ours from Trader Joe’s in the frozen section and just eat it after it thaws
  14. Greek yogurt – any!
  15. Nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews- choose your favorite); I like to get the Emerald box with individual packages of almonds
  16. Quaker or other brand rice cakes (plain or flavored)
  17. Assorted small packs of almond butter (remember to squeeze and knead before opening)
  18. StarKist Tuna or Chicken Creation packets
  19. Annie’s Seaweed snacks
  20. Bunch of bananas (obviously don’t keep these in your closet)
  21. Box of Cheerios or Chex Cereal
